If you are still playing in your fantasy leagues, then you are doing very well. Round two of the playoffs come during an NFL week that has some great match ups that will get fantasy owners excited about their prospects of winning. Let’s examine some of the injured players and players with high fantasy value that will replace them if they cannot play.
Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn
Rodgers has been ruled out against the Dallas Cowboys this week. The Packers travel to Dallas in a must win situation for both teams. Matt Flynn will start for
the Packers and lucky for him it is against the worst pass defense in the league. If you are desperate for a quarterback, Flynn could be a life saver. The only obstacle for Flynn besides his overall lack of play this season would be runningback Eddie Lacy. The Cowboys have a nearly equally horrible run defense.
As I see it, I wouldn’t start either. The Cowboys might have a brutal defense, but their backs are against the wall and they are at home. At home, the Dallas Cowboys have posted a 5-1 record and their defense has been much better at home, giving up mostly garbage points after they have jumped out to big leads. Expecting more than two TDs and 200 yards from Flynn would not be smart.
Reggie Bush and Joique Bell
Reggie Bush slipped in the snow last week during warm-ups in Philadelphia and never saw the field. This week he is listed as questionable and did practice Friday. Bush is a risky play this week with the great play of backup Joique Bell, who has been splitting time all season. So, now the question is, who will be able to garner the most fantasy points out of the two runningbacks? Will Reggie Bush even be able to finish the game?Click here to start betting on-line as to which runningback will score more, but if I were betting, I’d put my money on Joique Bell. Bell is not only their third down back, but he also shows up at the goal line. He is also far healthier than Reggie Bush.
Hopefully your team doesn’t have too many more injury situations to deal with. Most of the stud players in the league are so far healthy for a strong week 15 performance. Good luck to all the teams still in the playoffs.
